Bhartiya shastriya sangeet ek adbhut dharohar hai. Isi ek jad se do alag aur samriddh paramparen pali-badi hain — Uttar mein Hindustani aur Dakshin mein Carnatic. Dono ka lakshya ek hi hai: shrota ko ek aisi yatra par le jaana jahan sur, taal aur bhav ek ho jaate hain.

Hindustani sangeet Uttar India, Pakistan aur Bangladesh mein phala-phula. Yeh parampara 13vi-14vi sadi mein Mughal aur Persian prabhav se gehri tarah roop-antar se guzri. Improvisation iska jeevat atma hai — ek raga ko ghanton tak khoj ki jaati hai.
Khayal, Dhrupad, Thumri, Dadra — har vidha mein ek alag mizaj aur alag kahani hoti hai. Yahan ragas ko samay aur ritu ke hisaab se gaane ka aadesh hota hai.
Carnatic Sangeet
दक्षिण भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत
Carnatic sangeet Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka aur Andhra Pradesh ki pahchaan hai. Yeh parampara aksar theek-theek compositions par kendrit hoti hai — Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar aur Syama Sastri ke kriti sangrah is parampara ki neenv hain.
Bhakti aur devotion iska prana hai. Compositions ke alawa, Pallavi aur Neraval jaise improvisation ke roop bhi yahan hain, par structure zyada hota hai aur compositions ko puja ki tarah dil se gaya jaata hai.

Sham ke pehle pahar ka raga. Kalyani thaat se janma, iski madhurta man ko shanti deti hai.
Prabhaat ka raga — gambheer aur dhyaan-magnata se bhara. Shiv ka bhav isme samaya hua hai.
Dopahar ki neend aur virah ka ehsaas dene wala raga. Kafi thaat ka yeh ratan bahut pyaara hai.
Carnatic ka sabse pramukh raga — 29ven Melakarta. Iski gaayki mein ek divya gambheerya hai.

Turk aur Mughal aakrantaon ke saath Persian, Arabic sangeet ka Uttar India mein prabhav aaya. Uttar ki parampara badali; Dakshin intact rahi.
Tansen ke shishya Hindustani gharaanon ki neenv dale. Wahi samay mein Tyagaraja ke bhakti andolan ne Carnatic ko aur pakka kiya.
Carnatic ke Teen Ratna — Tyagaraja, Dikshitar, Syama Sastri — ne compositions ki ek anmol dharohar di. Hindustani mein Khayal ki vidhaa dominant ho gayi.

Samantayen — Jo Dono Ko Jodti Hain
Itne farkon ke bawajood, dono paramparaon ki aatma ek hi hai. Dono mein Raga paddhati ka upyog hota hai — ragas notes ka ek khaas arrangement hote hain jo mood aur emotion ko darsha'te hain. Dono mein Tala — rhythmic cycle — ki ek mazbut neenv hai.
Dono paramparaon mein guru-shishya parampara sabse zyada important hai. Bina guru ke sangeet seekhna adhura maana jaata hai. Shruti (microtones) ka upyog dono mein hota hai, aur dono hi paramparaon mein improvisation ka ek khwaab hota hai — chahe jitna bhi structured ya free-form ho.

Aaj ke Sangeet Mein Prabhaav
Aaj ka Bollywood, fusion music, aur world music in dono paramparaon ke bina adhura hota. Ravi Shankar ne Beatles ke George Harrison ko Sitar sikhaaya — aur ek poora generation Western music mein Hindustani sur sunne laga.
AR Rahman ke compositions mein Carnatic sur ki jhalkiyaan saaf dikhti hain. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Zakir Hussain ki collaborations, aur aaj ke artists jaise Bombay Jayashri, Pandit Jasraj — sab isi mahaasagar se aate hain.
Online platforms par aaj lakhon log ragas seekhne mein interest dikha rahe hain. Yeh dharohar sirf zinda nahi — balki naye roopon mein phoot rahi hai.
