Refund and Return Policy

We understand that circumstances can change, and we aim to be fair and transparent regarding refunds for our courses and services. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

By purchasing any course or service from Abhigyanam, you agree to this Refund and Return Policy.


1. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to all online courses, workshops, digital content, and other services purchased directly from the Abhigyanam platform.


2. General Refund Conditions

Refunds are generally considered under the following conditions:

  • Timely Request: A refund request must be submitted within the specified eligibility period for the respective course/service.
  • Limited Consumption/Access: For digital courses, a refund is typically only granted if a minimal portion of the course content has been accessed or downloaded. We track user progress and content access.
  • Specific Course Conditions: Some courses or services may have unique refund terms explicitly stated on their individual course pages or during the checkout process. These specific terms will supersede this general policy.

3. Eligibility for Refunds

The eligibility for a refund depends on the type of course or service purchased:

A. Self-Paced Online Courses (Pre-recorded videos, downloadable materials)

  • You may request a full refund within 7 days from the date of purchase.
  • To be eligible for a refund, you must not have completed more than 10% of the course content (based on video watch time, lesson completion, or downloaded materials).
  • No refunds will be issued if more than 10% of the course content has been accessed or if the refund request is made after 7 days from the purchase date.

B. Live Online Classes / Batches / Workshops (with fixed schedules)

  • Cancellation before Batch Start: A full refund may be requested up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled start date/time of the first live session.
  • Cancellation after First Session (within 24 hours): If you attend the first live session and decide to withdraw, you may request a refund within 24 hours of the completion of the first session. In such cases, a pro-rata amount for the attended session and an administrative fee (typically 10-20% of the course fee) may be deducted from the refund amount.
  • No Refunds: No refunds will be issued if the request is made after 24 hours of the first live session, or if you miss the first session without prior notification, or for any sessions missed thereafter. Once a batch has progressed beyond the initial phase, refunds are generally not possible due to resource allocation and limited seat availability.

C. Digital Products / Downloadable Assets (e.g., E-books, Sheet Music, Audio Tracks)

  • All sales of digital, downloadable products are final. Due to the immediate and irreversible nature of digital downloads, we do not offer refunds once the product has been accessed or downloaded.
  • Refunds may only be considered in cases of proven technical issues preventing access or download that cannot be resolved by our support team.

D. Subscriptions / Memberships (If applicable)

  • Refunds for subscription services are generally not provided for partially used periods. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.
  • A full refund for the initial subscription period might be considered within 3 days of purchase, provided no significant access to premium content has occurred.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • If the refund request falls outside the stipulated timeframes for each course/service type.
  • If a significant portion (as defined above) of the course content has been accessed or completed.
  • For technical issues on the user’s end (e.g., poor internet connection, incompatible software) that are not due to a fault with the Abhigyanam platform.
  • Dissatisfaction with personal learning outcomes or subjective content preferences.
  • Purchases made during special promotional offers, discounts, or bundles that explicitly state “no refunds.”
  • If the user has violated our Terms and Conditions, leading to account suspension or termination.
  • For any service or course purchased through third-party platforms, as their refund policies will apply.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Send an email to contact@abhigyanam.in with the subject line: “Refund Request – [Your Course Name]”
  2. In the email, please include:
    • Your full name
    • The email address associated with your Abhigyanam account
    • The name of the course/service purchased
    • Date of purchase
    • Your order or transaction ID
    • A brief reason for your refund request.

Our support team will review your request and respond within 5-7 business days.


6. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days from the date of approval.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase (e.g., credit card, bank account). Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your bank statement, depending on your bank’s policies.
  • Any bank charges or payment gateway fees incurred during the original transaction or the refund process may be deducted from the refunded amount.

7. Changes to This Policy

Abhigyanam reserves the right to modify or update this Refund and Return Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any updates. Your continued use of our services after any modifications signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
